Antique books,Art reference,Joseph Pennell, "The Adventures of an Illustrator" by Joseph Pennell.This first edition by Joseph Pennell is in mint condition with its original dust jacket. Published by Little,Brown,and Company Thirty four Beacon Street Boston Massachusetts in the Year 1925.372 pages filled with wonderful original lithographs by Pennell. It has many of his works. It states on page XI that "all illustrations of which the authorship or ownership is not stated are by or in the possession of Joseph Pennell. The reproductions unless otherwise stated,have been made by the Beck Engraving Company". This fine and very rare book measures 12 inches high by 9 inches wide.

This leather bound edition of The French Revolution is marked first edition in gold leaf on its leather spine. The binding is beautifully made. All hand and tooled green leather with gold leaf designs.. Even the gold leaf on the end pages is perfect. The book measures 8 and one half inches by six inches. This out of print book also has its original marbelized hard dust cover. 519 pages.

Antique book ends,"Bookends" Bronze lion bookends Stamped "Armon". This fantastic pair of antique bronze lion bookends measure 7inches long, 7 and one half inches high. C 1900.These bookends are very heavy with a bronze exterior over a plaster interior. They were made by a foundry as Museum reproductions in the 1920s. Very high quality and hard to find.
