Published by The Art News for Masterspieces of Art Exibition at the New York Worlds Fair 1939. Cover in good condition, images and interior excellent condition. The 8 images are by Hans Hobein,Sassetta,Bartolomeo Veneto,Gerard David,Vermeer,Chardin,Hogarth,Rembrandt. Measures 12 inches by 9 and one quarter inches.

Original green cloth decorated in gilt. First Edition, which consisted of only 3020 copies. Abby Martin lives alone on a remote hill farm, having lost her husband early and raised her children by herself. She kept her spirits up during those difficult years by a fantasy born of a curious coincidence: she had been born on the same day and hour as Queen Victoria, and unknowingly hadmarried a man named Albert and named her first two children Victoria and Edward. After she found out, she waited toname her other children.. until she knew what the Queen had named hers. And over the years her relationship to the Queen had been the governing ideal in her life..
